Nationality

He wasnt "Ukranian". At that times Odessa was a part of Russian Empire and Soviet Union. There wasnt such independant state "Ukraine" at that times. So he was Russian and Soviet scientist - NOT Ukranian. --RussianSpy (talk) 13:32, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

He may not have been Ukrainian by nationality, but he may very well have been ethnically, the same way there are Jewish mathematicians, Basque musicians, Zulu tap dancers, Kurdish croquet players and Inuit ballerinas. 121.45.207.73 (talk) 13:50, 6 January 2010 (UTC)Dave[reply]
