[edit]I am aware this is not the most trustworthy site but I am linking the images of the gravestone for date of death. Gandalf the Groovy (talk) 15:59, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
Was he really born in San Frabcisco
[edit]In 1846 San Francisco had about 240 residents, until its population doubled with a ship with 240 more people arriving. The population was roughly 200 in 1838, and some were recent British or American emigrants. So it is possible Samuel Woods was born a subject of Mexico. I am not sure our current sourcing should be trusted gor asserting such though. It is much more likely he migrated to California later.John Pack Lambert (talk) 03:10, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
