[edit]I have removed the following:
"Of his famous writings "The Right to Privacy" is possibly one of the most influential, as he and Louis Brandeis were able to then promt a movement to establish explicit laws protecting privacy."
The Samuel D. Warren concerned was another individual, who graduated Harvard Law School in 1877 (Brandeis was first in the class, Warren second). Warren and Brandeis were partners in a firm of attorneys from 1879 to 1889 and their famous article appeared in 1890 - over a decade after the English Samuel Warren's death. [edit]He's mostly known as 1. novelist 2. MP 3. barrister. Born in Wales, I suggest a move to Samuel Warren (novelist). Llywelyn2000 (talk) 21:13, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
Eliza Ballenger Vanhouse
[edit]Eliza's first husband was William Vanhouse jun.[1] Plausibly this is the William Vanhouse of the grocery partnership Robert Holden, William Vanhouse and William Alers Hankey [2] - or maybe his son. Robert Holden is thought to be https://www.ucl.ac.uk/lbs/person/view/17719, Hankey should be https://www.ucl.ac.uk/lbs/person/view/16179. Ballenger was a sugar refiner. We can presume at least that the first marriage was in the West Indian trade milieu, given that Vanhouse is also a relevant surname: https://www.ucl.ac.uk/lbs/person/view/18503.
