The description in the Samuel Cocking garden in Japan says he moved from Ireland to Australia before growing up in Japan. I'm not sure why they'd say that if there wasn't some basis in truth. Did he come from an Irish family in London, perhaps (though it doesn't really sound like an Irish name)? 2400:2200:537:561A:E632:5D46:1FF2:A719 (talk) 09:40, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
