"Super AMOLED" or "Super Active-matrix OLED" display is a term coined by Samsung. I think, the word "super" should be reintroduced since the technology of super AMOLED and AMOLED is different. As explained by BadaWave.com (requote permission granted):

It is less than in year, company derives for the market the new technology with the name Of super AMOLED. Difference from usual AMOLED not only in the positioning, but also another organization of displays themselves. If in standard AMOLED screen are used several layers, between which the air space is located, then into Super AMOLED this sensory layer is only one and any air clearances. This makes it possible to attain during the same energy consumption of larger screen brilliance (approximately by 20 percent), and also the exceptional finesse of screen itself – the thickness of base layer 0.001 mm. the technology, which lies at the basis is called AMOLED of on-cell, when entire controlling electronics is arranged in the screen, it is not required the separate, remote components.

I think, it is very important to differentiate it from the normal AMOLED display, what do you think? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.15.61.232 (talk) 21:42, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Criticisms section

[edit]

I have removed the Criticisms section, the entire section was written in bad English and didn't have a single reference. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.123.217.228 (talk) 12:59, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The whole article is written in bad English. I have corrected some spelling and grammar and I can't be bothered to do any more! --81.156.225.83 (talk) 10:47, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I added tags for cleanup and weasel words, I don't know nearly enough about the device to correct the spelling, grammar, tone, and neutrality of the article. 66.57.194.249 (talk) 04:32, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed tags for cleanup and weasel words after cleaning up the page in stages. I believe it is at an acceptable quality now. 195.55.45.66 (talk) 13:56, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

WAVE GT-S8500 RAM

[edit]

The RAM is 512 MB. 384MB is the available archive memory on some European model coming with 1GB total internal memory (without micro-SD), NOT the RAM. A fake-rumors in a forum, cannot quoted as source.

This is from the official Samsung staff [1]contribs) 13:27, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Gorilla Glass?

[edit]

The article says the GT-S8500 is equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass, but the e-mail from Samsung staff (link to picture is above) states is is not. I think someone should look into this. 84.107.132.29 (talk) 10:34, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality

[edit]

The "Operating System" section has some serious neutrality issues - it makes big claims, but with a complete absence of sources. What can be done to help remedy this? Kiralexis (talk) 15:48, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Can we remove the neutrality issue notice now as it has been cleared up for a long enough period of time 195.55.45.66 (talk) 14:00, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
