I am afraid to say that despite the efforts of the nominator in expanding this article, this GA review will have to be quick failed due to numerous failures to comply with the relevant criteria at Wikipedia:GA. In this case of this particular article, I noted several problems which stand in its way of achieving GA status at this time.

The main issue is that the article is underdeveloped, primarily due to lack of coverage in the main portion of the article, where most of the sections consist of one line sentences on how they qualified and not on where they finishing during that particular Olympic Games and whether they were making their debut in the Olympics, which have to be written out in a concise way above the results tables. Furthermore, while the lead says it was the ninth time Samoa were at the Olympic Games or on who were the flag bearers for the opening and closing ceremonies, all of this is not stated in the main portion of the article. The results tables for each sport will also require citations to reliable sources to verify whether the information is correct, and the prose above it is written in the present tense and not past tense since the 2016 Summer Olympics is a past multi-sport event.

I would strongly recommend that the nominator read up on xxxx at the xxxx Summer/Winter Olympics articles as can be found at Wikipedia:Good_articles/Sports_and_recreation#Multi-sport_event for inspiration before this particular article can undergo further development before it is renominated at GAN for the second time.MWright96 (talk) 13:51, 2 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
