I have researched the material on the partnership with Lyn Aspden (now Gaskell). I am most grateful to her and to others for information which they contributed. Ballroon dance is a difficult field to write articles on, because it does not have an obvious source of reference, such as a printed encyclopaedia. Therefore I contacted some key people in the profession and they were most helpful. Should anyone doubt the information, I can provide copies of some of this evidence.
