Start article / things to do
[edit]It's probably unusual to be starting a page about an 18-year-old, but this looks like a pretty special achievement.
It needs a photo and an infobox, a link to her high school, a summary of her Seven Summits and something besides climbing. Should her father have a separate article? More later.--Hjal 20:49, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- How to request deletion of a page? If this is an achievement that's noteworthy and would lead to a wikipedia page, then we might start creating pages for all of the 7.35 billion inhabitants of this planet. In a mountaineering-historical perspective this is absolutely nothing, really, not even worth the bother mentioning, and I think it's pages like these that decrease the value of wikipedia as as worthy platform. Mention her in Guinness World Records? Do as you please, but you can't seriously have clutter like this dilute the worth of this project. Qwrk (talk) 14:04, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
Notability is thin here
[edit]Feels like a case of WP:BLP1E, where her 2007 Everest climb got national coverage but little after. She appears is almost no main climbing RS, so would likely fail WP:NCLIMBER, but her notability is solely from climbing? Aszx5000 (talk) 12:57, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
- Contrast her with Melissa Arnot who still gets regular coverage in the major global climbing media here, here, and here. Aszx5000 (talk) 13:09, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
