orphan?
[edit]BigDwiki (talk · contribs) tagged the article with {{orphan}}, which says: "This article is an orphan, as no other articles link to it." Yet, when I click on "link to it", there're twelve pages linking to this one (through redirects, but that's beside the point). Does anybody object if I remove the orphan tag? — Fourthords | =Λ= | 18:14, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
- I've removed it. Not sure why it got added, was mistake.BigDwiki (talk) 19:30, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
- No worries. Thanks for the edit and reply! — Fourthords | =Λ= | 19:32, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
Salvo
[edit]Should this new page really be called Salvo? All of their previous albums are still listed under Pain on streaming services/etc. And interviews seem to indicate that the band considers Salvo to be its own entity. I don't know if there is enough info to justify a separate Salvo page, but at the very least I think this should be the Pain page with a note in the bio about Salvo. HyperchickenLawyer (talk) 15:08, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
- All the reliable sources in the article that discuss Salvo talk about the band as simply Pain, back together. As far as they're concerned—and our article should reflect this—Salvo is a renamed Pain. In that case, WP:NAMECHANGES says that if the reliable sources refer to the article topic by the new name (i.e. Salvo, and they do), "Wikipedia should follow suit and change relevant titles to match." — Fourthords | =Λ= | 18:39, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
Notability Header
[edit]I've upped the notability factor quite a bit with some new sources, and linked to several other articles as well. Is it possible this article now meets the requirements to have it removed? HyperchickenLawyer (talk) 17:01, 27 September 2019 (UTC)
- I've removed it. — Fourthords | =Λ= | 20:11, 23 October 2019 (UTC)
Album List
[edit]Previously, I had tried to clean up the album list to resemble more of a discography, but I see that was removed. I feel that listing out the albums the way that they are now looks a bit unprofessional and doesn't fit proper wikipedia formatting. Is there another way we could list them to be easier to understand at a quick glance?
HyperchickenLawyer (talk) 16:49, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
- The problem is that we have very little verified information about the albums. Optimally we'd have a devoted section and use {{discography list}}, but all we currently have cited to reliable sources is: Midgets with Guns' Australian release date and one track name; Wonderful Beef, its US release date, and the name of 1/13 tracks; Full Speed Ahead's anticipated release date; and Off the Charts' name and release-party date. That paltry content would be a pretty terrible table, and is better presented as prose for the time being. — Fourthords | =Λ= | 17:03, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
- Appreciate the explanation. If I find better sources, I'll update it to be a regular discog list. Otherwise we can leave it as is. HyperchickenLawyer (talk) 19:19, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
