I put a table in for Pacific Ocean Salmon as best I could.

needs more sections

• This paper needs more history of Salmon and also needs how long the species were going like 2 or 3 genarations.

I agree that more information is needed here, the history of Salmon fine, there are mythologies based on salmon such as the Salmon of knowledge, however I'm not sure what is mean by "...how long the species were going like 2 or 3 genarations." Personally, I'd like to see some mention of study into how Salmon can find their original spawning bed.

Salmon farming

This paragraph was removed last night;

Salmon aquaculture has come under increasing scrutiny from environmental protection organizations due to problems of habitat destruction, pollution, disease, and escape of farmed fish into wild populations. Atlantic Salmon introduced for sport fishing are also now causing concern over their possible effects on native fish.

Whilst I would agree that it is unbalanced, the statement is one I'm familiar with. As mentioned above, we could do with a general section on salmon farming (especially as few other fish species are farmed). -- Solipsist 08:20, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Natural information

WHAT DO SALMONS EAT??!!! WRITE IT... all people talk about these days when it comes to fish is the food... can't we get any "natural" information on fish?

In fresh water salmon feed on small fish such as minnows and in salt water they feed on crustaceans such as crab and shrimp.
