Sally Gifford for Mary Marvel

[edit]

I think Sally would be perfect to play the superhero Mary Marvel in New Line Cinema's upcoming movie, SHAZAM.

Body Evolution Viral Video

[edit]

(I have not added the following to this article for two reasons. First, I have a question: How does one edit the article to reflect the fact that Sally had married and changed her name? Would one have to create a new article on Sally Gifford Piper and copy the information over from this article, then delete this one? Second, I feel the need to prove that the "Sally Gifford Piper" identified in the model in the Body Evolution viral video is the same as the "Sally Gifford" of this article. Sally Gifford Piper's own Facebook page lists both Queen's University and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts as places where she has been educated, as does this article. Also, at present, I am having difficulty ascertaining exactly when Sally married Tim.)

Sally recently married Australian filmmaker Tim Piper. In early 2008, Tim filmed a video called "Body Evolution" depicting Sally posing topless on a table, at which point her hair is redone and her face made up, and a picture taken; the picture is then altered using PhotoShop to illustrate the unobtainable standard of beauty being promoted by the fashion and modeling industries. (I contend that the video had to have been made in 2008 because Sally stated on her Facebook page on October 31, "We did (the video) for fun in early 2008 in Australia with some friends.") Tim had posted the video on his YouTube account in May 2012, but it did not go viral until October 30, 2013, when it was featured on upworthy.com; in just a few days, the video had been viewed over 5,000,000 times. In addition, the video had been featured on CNN's Showbiz Tonight, Entertainment Tonight and Inside Edition.

(As soon as I get an answer to the above question, I could also add links to the Showbiz Tonight, ET and IE interviews, as well as the upworthy.com link.) Mrabinowitz (talk) 05:55, 24 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
