Suggested additions

[edit]

There are a few items that could enrich this article. Sally's Apizza was mentioned in a few Doonesbury cartoons. (Reference?Doonesbury Turns 40! on motion pictures comics.com) For awhile a signed copy of the cartoon hung on the wall at Sally's. (I don't know if it's still there.) The restaurant's official site is at http://sallysapizza.com/default.aspx Sally's Apizza. While most of their pizzas are, as mentioned, thin crust tomato sauce based, they have a few specialty pizzas like the white tomato which they used to make only in the summer when they could get fresh local tomatoes -- it was fresh, sliced tomatoes on a white sauce (cheese and garlic?). They have some other "white pizzas" too. Hope someone with more current information can double check that and add references. There's also a less encyclopedic article at http://pizza.wikia.com/wiki/Sally%27s_Apizza . CocoaZen (talk) 23:40, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
