Les Ambasadeurs link
[edit]The link to 'Les Ambassadeurs' in the article goes to a page about a restaurant in Paris whereas, off course, Les Ambassaduers is (was) a band. If I knew how to change the link, I would. But I don't, so I didn't. Sorry.

Fair use rationale for Image:Salifkeita.jpg
[edit]Image:Salifkeita.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:38, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Human rights activities
[edit]The article is missing something about his strong engagment in fighting the ritual killings (muti) of People who are suffering from albinism in Africa.-- 178.115.103.91 (talk) 17:54, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
- Please feel free to go ahead and add the missing content. The Wall Street Journal did a piece about this. Here's a reprint. Sean.hoyland - talk 18:08, 8 March 2012 (UTC)

Early Life: Royal Lineage/Self Exile
[edit]I just read at RFI music's biography page for Selif that the reason for his self imposed exile from his childhood community was because of his choosing a singing career estranged him from his family and made antisocial and even dangerous to remain in his homeland. Apparently as a descendant of the dynastic founder of Mali, Sundaita Keita singing is a forbidden occupation one reserved for the griot class. This wikipedia article is saying he left because of his albinism. While it obviously made his early life hard and isolated it doesn't look like this was his primary reason for leaving his home county according to the RFI biography. http://www.rfimusic.com/artist/world-music/salif-keita/biography Its a bio I personally suspect the man himself may have helped to produce because its so detailed in facts that one could get only from the artist himself, a very thorough series of interviews/discussion, or perhaps a journal some kind. Also the Emi music source target for this "exiled for albinism claim" is a web page that has been removed from the web. SoNetMedia's Alfred O. Mega (talk) 01:18, 23 July 2016 (UTC)
