Salagama -- Saliya
[edit]A very interesting part of history. However, in the beginning it's given that Salagamas were originally from Malabar but in the later part it's mentioned that they were from Coromandel coast. Any studies have been done to verify these two stories? Thanks.

These are two traditions as recorded, who knows where they are from today ?
Nice article!
[edit]When I originally placed a red link to the Salagama caste in the cinnamon article in September of last year, I thought it would probably be a long time before we had an article, and if that, a long time before the article would be more than a stub. I'm delighted to find a thorough and well-referenced article here, less than a year later. Well done, and thank you! — Catherine\talk 17:32, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
