Untitled

The majority of this article is copy-and-pasted from the Catholic Encyclopedia (the text from "Martyr under Diocletian..." through "...gave rise to local legends") -- it looks like the CE, published in 1911, should be public domain by now, but the article still shouldn't be a direct copy, should it?

Saint Menas → Saint Mina — This is the correct Egyptian name of an Egyptian person. Menas a hellenized version of the name. In addition, Mina is more common than Menas — Lanternix (talk) 03:57, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose as nationalism. The question here is not the correct spelling in Coptic or in modern Egyptian Arabic, neither of which would be using the Roman alphabet anyway, but in English. On that question, the Catholic Encyclopedia is (for all its flaws) likely to be as good a guide as anything. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 23:39, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Origin of his name

I can't read the characters in the section about the origin of his name--all I see is squares. What language are the characters I can't see, and, how do enable my software to "see" them? Thanks. --Kenatipo ^speak! 18:22, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Update: I downloaded Quivira 3.7 true-type fonts and put it in my Windows/Fonts folder. Now I can see characters instead of boxes at the Coptic language article, both Sahidic and Bohairic, but I still see boxes on the Saint Menas page.
