[edit]I'm surprised Sade isn't listed as a famous alum. Did she graduate? What did she study and with whom. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2620:114:2007:D:6CB5:594E:937D:B30F (talk) 19:33, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
Flanagan, Latham
[edit]Maybe add Barry Flanagan and John Latham? --Wool Bridge (talk) 17:08, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
Also I am wondering if people who studied Graphics should be mentioned. Dylan Jones for example.--Wool Bridge (talk) 15:24, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
- Hi! These seem to be reasonable suggestions, certainly. A couple of thoughts: it was my idea (undiscussed, without wider basis) that the overall number should be held to about ten or a dozen, as otherwise this turns into yet another WP:LAUNDRY list. But I think that more important is to decide what this section is actually trying to say, and then express that in prose, not as a list. It seems to me that the focus should be on sculpture and fashion, which I think were the two greatest strengths of the school, so I would definitely favour including Flanagan. In general, I think the names included here should be the "household" ones, and I'm not sure that either Jones, Stephen or Dylan, passes that bar. Thoughts? And should people who went to Central St. Martins a bit later, after the two colleges merged, like Jarvis Cocker be mentioned?--Wool Bridge (talk) 15:29, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
- In general, alumni of Central Saint Martins like Cocker are listed in that article. In his case I suppose that is based on when he graduated and where from. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 17:15, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
Also AA Gill is a notable, see: https://somethingcurated.com/2016/12/12/remembering-a-a-gill-writer-restaurant-critic/ Wool Bridge (talk) 20:50, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
Is this the school mentioned in the song Common people, where it says: "She came from Greece, she had a thirst for knowledge. / She studied sculpture at Saint Martin's College."? If so, is that a "trivium" worth mentioning? It's quite a well-known song.

[edit]What is a 'foundation' level course? When di St M's first offer "foundation and degree level courses"? What was it's status before that?
