Intercoms and stat holidays
[edit]As per National Day for Truth and Reconciliation: "As of March 2023, NDTR is a statutory holiday for:
- federal government employees and private-sector employees to whom the Canada Labour Code applies;
- provincial government employees in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
- all workers in British Columbia, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Prince Edward Island, and Yukon."
Secondly, intercoms and PA systems have been around for the entire 20th century - you're probably thinking of wireless intercoms as having been invented in the 1980s. For example, here's a video showing an old school intercom from the early 1900s. Wellington Bay (talk) 01:17, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
