Assault rifles
[edit]Whether or not it is relevant to the tone and intent of the article, does anyone know whether the rifles used were AK 47's (7,62mm), 74's(5,45) or AKM's etc?
- Interestingly enough, the guns used were R4s, not AK47s. That would make the rounds 5.45. The hand grenades were American. Go figure. -Kieran (talk) 11:46, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
- FYI, the R4 is 5.56mm Socrates2008 (Talk) 23:40, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Cleanup and referencing
[edit]I've started referencing and cleaning up this article. It needs a bit of wikification, too (there are external links which should be references, and other formatting problems). Anyway, if I get around to it I'll come back and work further. The TRC reports are a good source of accurate information on what happened. -Kieran (talk) 12:31, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi Kierano. I'm new to Wiki, dunno if this is the place to post / ask. Charl asked me to find out why you removed the reference to his home page Charl van Wyk? Staaldraad (talk) 07:10, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Discussion of Nonxuba's death
[edit]I'm unclear on what this line means - "Nonxuba died in a car accident while on bail in November 1996, thereby leading to an incremental increase in public safety in South Africa.[1]"
The only way I can read it seems a little opinionated/facetious for a Wikipedia article105.233.76.219 (talk) 15:41, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
