English production and broadcasting

[edit]

I'm unsure about merging broadcast and production and splitting the English from it. Especially when the only English production would be localization such as censorship and name changes. Lucia Black (talk) 21:34, 11 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Censorship and NPOV

[edit]

I am a bit concerned with the use of the term "censorship" in the article. Other than the heavily editorialized article in The Daily Athenaeum, which is a student newspaper and may not pass WP:RS, none of the other sources in the section titled "Censorship" use that term. Censorship is a rather charged term that implies a negative bias. As such, using the term would be a violation of WP:NPOV. —Farix (t | c) 21:20, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"Localization" Would've been perfect. Lucia Black (talk) 18:57, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Does this really need to be in its own sub-section? —Farix (t | c) 01:19, 21 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Originally there was no "English production and broadcasting", there was "Production" with subsections of "Music" and "localization" and then there was "Broadcast". Lucia Black (talk) 10:11, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I think we should merge the Sailor Moon (English adaptations) altogether. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 18:52, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I believe so aswell, there is some censorship that covers the manga, so some aspects will be merged to the manga aswell. Lucia Black (talk) 18:57, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The only thing is that what Dic and Cloverway did was clear censorship. KevinTriforce Talk 21:52, 5 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Plot Fix

[edit]

Can someone rework the "plot" section so it summarizes the actual anime? I noticed it was just cut and pasted from the manga's plot in another article. The "Makaiju" arc isn't even mentioned in this article's "plot" section, either. Rayayala17 (talk) 20:28, 25 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

While well-written, there are still several issues with the plot, most especially the fact that it's still referencing elements exclusive to the manga. I'll work on correcting it. Crimsonseiko (talk) 21:34, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
OK, done. It ended up being pretty hefty, which I think should be expected for a series that has as much plot as Sailor Moon. But, feel free to trim it down if you can. Also, fact-check me... it's been years since I've watched every episode. Crimsonseiko (talk) 21:53, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Junichi Sato credit in Sailor Moon R

[edit]

A Brazilian IP has repeatedly removed Junichi Sato's name from the Director parameter in the info box. Sato directed the first 13 episodes while Ikuhara directed the rest of the series. So, I think we should keep Sato's credit in the article. Thoughts? Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 00:46, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Switch to New Viz Logo?

[edit]

After Viz shows it's dub will we be changing the article logo? --KevinTriforce Talk 21:44, 5 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Soldier versus Guardian

[edit]

Since Viz is translating "senshi" as "guardian," shouldn't the article follow-suit? (This also goes for any terminology used by the Viz version that differs from fan-translations, but I can't think of any off-hand.) -Crimsonseiko (talk) 16:57, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

English Dubs

[edit]

I have been watching 90's voice dubbed sailor moon and have noticed that usagi didn't get changed to serena. CherryLS (talk) 08:06, 10 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
