(removed pasted 2/3rds of the article content)
I would like to remove this as according to me its an incomplete truth. Also, its an ongoing case and such false allegations make take this matter to some great problem.
Not done - "according to me" is not an acceptable reason for making any change. Wikipedia requires Independant, Reliable, Sources for the addition, or removal, of any information. - Arjayay (talk) 09:49, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
Title of page would be "Sahar SEBI Case". Sroym (talk) 07:06, 19 October 2021 (UTC)

Dispute and edit war
[edit]I've protected this article for a week from any editing. As an uninvolved administrator I've reverted the content to the version just before the edit war began, and added the single paragraph of valid support towards the company's founder that I could find in all the subsequent edits and blanking of information. Because of the policy on living persons, this article should be very careful how it treats the individuals involved, and it should be more about the "scandal" than the individuals. I have no idea if this article meets the notability guidelines for inclusion (which would be the opposite of WP:NOTNEWS), but in the meantime all of you interested parties can use this talk page to discuss what the article should and should not contain. Please keep it civil, no personal attacks and remember that Wikipedia talk pages are not forums. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 17:31, 17 June 2014 (UTC)
Page looks like a Newspaper/Diary
[edit]I have read this page and realized that it looks like a newspaper or diary rather than a genuine Wikipedia page. As per the information of this case, its an ongoing case also the articles and links given here as reference doesn't show any fact. This case seems to be stretched intentionally and hence creating its page on Wikipedia gives an impact that someone really want to degrade the reputation of this company. Also, I believe that instead of creating this page we should have created a common page of scandal that should cover all the information related to scandal. This page seems to be of no use also it violates the Wikipedia policy. Because Wikipedia themselves says that the Page should not be look like a newspaper but here the thing is quite different. So, I advice Wikipedia to do something with this page. And Wikipedia, deals in those things only that is real and is useful to others but here whatever information has been given is of no use and it clearly look like a newspaper. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 185.53.88.7 (talk) 11:50, 26 June 2014 (UTC)
Hello Admin,
Even I have realized that this page looks exactly like a diary or newspaper and in my point of view wikipedia is an encyclopedia not a newspaper. What information we are getting from this page all these are the proceedings of the court and no benefit or conclusion has been made now. I am unable to say but I have lot of questions in my mind regarding this page and hence believe that this page is of no use over here. Thanks
Hey, whats this man? Am I reading a paper? Wikipedia was not like this but here after going through this page it seems that you have also started spreading information or news in a crispy way in order to attract people towards yourself. Wikipedia always comes at top. Whenever my son ask me about any doubt I recommend him Wikipedia for help. This was not expected that Wikipedia will also go against its policies. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.134.112.140 (talk) 04:54, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
Worst an usefulness Page
[edit]Hello Wiki,
Hope you are going good. I have just seen this page online and was shocked to see that Wiki is showing the Biography of a Living person that Wiki should never do at all as per its policies. This is an ongoing case and by posting such things "Controversy" and "New Wikipedia Page "en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sahara_India_Pariwar_-_Investor_fraud_case"" online about a Living person seems to be threatening. Also the sources I found over here are news articles and the stories written in it gives the detail about this case but I don't think that it gives any output to the users. Seriously, saying its a confusing case because sometimes court says that we have kept subrata roy in jail so that he can give the money and here on Wikipedia you say that Sahara India Pariwar if Fraud. I have confusion, actually the allegations have been imposed on Sahara Real Estates and Sahara Life Insurance then whats the use of Sahara India Pariwar in it. As per my knowledge this page must get remove. Do reply me what so ever will be your decision...

- Wikipedia talk pages are not a forum for asking for the return of money invested by people who have been defrauded. This talk page is for discussing how to improve this article, not the events discussed in this article and the problems it creates for you. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 21:08, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
Background information needed
[edit]As a reader, I know nothing about this case, and, after reading this article, I am none the wiser. Articles should be useful to readers and inform them. This one leaves me with more questions than it answers. Like, who are "Sahara" and "SEBI"? The shortened name and acronym are not defined in relation to more formal names. What did Sahara India Pariwar originally do and when did they start doing it. Who are the investors and how many were there? And why did they try to do what they did, originally? I.e. What were the company's motives or purpose for obtaining the money and what made their actions so illegal that they were required to repay all their investors.
Also, What is a Crore worth, and why is it also applied to people as well as money? I see this term in a lot of Indian articles and news reports but none of them explain what the term means for non-Indian reader. This appears to be assumed knowledge for Indian articles but the term is not a familiar one to readers from outside the subcontinent, sorry, so needs to be explained, at least on first appearance, and preferably on every occasions, like metric and imperial units are inter-converted to both measurement systems each time they appear. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 13:00, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
