Because the article states that saengchae can be made with almost any ingredients, I wonder: Is saengchae a Korean salad? Or just the Korean word for salad? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Philip.coleman (talkcontribs)

@Philip.coleman: It means "uncooked namul dish, and contrasts with sukchae (cooked namul dish). --Epulum (talk) 01:31, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
