Photograph request - The article's infobox could use an image of the full mountain. The Infobox mountain template mentions "Preferably a distance shot to show most/all of the mountain rather than a view from the summit." The current image and all images in commons do not have this view, only summits or very distant shots. Thank you. — 71.236.191.197 (talk) 03:43, 23 August 2017 (UTC)
Native American name
[edit]According to a local publication I read many decades ago, the local Atfalati called Saddle Mountain a name similar to "Tualatin", meaning twin peaks, from whence came the name of the river. Of course, Tualatin River has a different derivation for the origin of the name, but not based on an academic source.
I'm wondering if my memory is actually correct. Melville Jacobs published a volume that preserves what we still have of the Kalapuya language, & it contains the older names of many landmarks; I wonder if that might provide a definite answer. -- llywrch (talk) 17:36, 6 September 2019 (UTC)
