Being Chief Minister and member of parliament
[edit]Just wondering if it's correct to say Gowda " was representing the Udupi Chikmagalur constituency in Karnataka in the 15th Lok Sabha." As I understand it, he will represent the constituency till such a time that he resigns. That would be necessitate by the need to become a member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly within the time prescribed by the Constitution. See Constitution of India - Article 102 {Disqualifications for membership} Gowda has to become a member of the Legislative Assembly within 6 months in order to retain his Chief Ministership. See Constitution of India - Article 164 {Other provisions as to Ministers} — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sesamevoila (talk • contribs) 17:32, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
