The article here deals with role of the lotus in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism and should be expanded than redirected. --Redtigerxyz Talk 13:00, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Did'ja forget something?
[edit]Article seems preoccupied with "Eastern" religious symbolism. Did they completely forget about Egyptian mythology which also features the Lotus in its creation myths? Hindus and Buddhists don't have a monopoly on the mythological use of the Lotus.
