Puritanism

I don't think the part about Puritanism makes sense, and seeing as there's not a lot of activity on this page, I don't think I'll wait for a reply. It seems to me that when a criticism of the dichotomy uses the phrase: "Such homely employments a carnal heart knows not how to submit unto..." it's not really criticizing the concept of the dichotomy, or even something terribly related to it. The word 'carnal' implying a belief in the sacred and profane binary. Carnal meaning the same as profane in this sense. What the Puritans are criticizing here is the hierarchical relation to God in the Catholic Church, not the concepts of sacred and profane as is being attempted in the Buddhist example in the paragraph before it.
