Question about making a correction to content
[edit]I am a law librarian at the Sacramento County Public Law Library (SCPLL, at saclaw.org) which is a separate entity from the Sacramento Public Library. I noticed that this article contains incorrect information about Aaron Swartz's use of a library PACER account to download court documents. This actually took place at the Sacramento County Public Law Library. (I personally consider it an honor.) The cited article simply says "a Sacramento library," but it was the SCPLL (see "Federal Depository Libraries Offer Free Access To Court E-Records," Administrative Notes: Newsletter of the Federal Depository Library Program (Vol. 28, no. 11-12 Nov. 15/Dec. 15, 2007 www.fdlp.gov/file-repository/historical-publications/administrative-notes/2007-adnotes/869-administrative-notes-vol-28-no-11-12/).
I would like to correct this rather than simply deleting it, but it would necessitate creating a page for the SCPLL, of which I am an employee. Is there an acceptable way to handle this? (I'm sorry if I'm asking in the wrong place.) In the meanwhile, I am going to delete it. Thank you for any input! Fitzzie (talk) 22:52, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
