Classification and relatives
[edit]Here, Saccharibacteria are classified as member of infrakingdom Candidate phyla radiation (CPR). At Bacterial phyla#List of bacterial phyla they are in fact not classified as memeber of this supergroup. In the text here, they appear to be close relatives of Chloroflexi. So can we conclude that Chloroflexi are also members of CPR? I wonder. BTW the cladogram shows Choroflexi as an outgroup - but this does not mean that they are relatives (may be as an outgroup they are just not relatives). Can anyone please clarify? Thanks in advance! --Ernsts (talk) 17:59, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
- In the phylogenetic tree at Bacterial phyla they (and Peregrinibacteria)are clear membersof CPR (together with their relatives as Gracilibacteria, Absconditabacteria, Berkelbacteria), although not listed in the table as CPR.--Ernsts (talk) 22:08, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
- Did some internet search and found some of the groups mentioned in the phylogenetic tree on the left in properties section. Looks different to all modern trees, as CPR do not appear as monophyletic group. My proposal: remove it!--Ernsts (talk) 19:17, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
- Identified Parcubacteria group.--Ernsts (talk) 16:28, 11 September 2021 (UTC)

Saccharibacteria Phylogeny
[edit]Currently there are 2 cladograms for internal phylogeny:
- Phylogeny of Saccharibacteria
- Simplified phylogenetic tree of named subgroups according to Dinis et al. 2011
I think both trees should be merged.
As I see the roman digits given in the second tree refer to the big "TM7 Candidate Division neighbor-joining phylogenetic tree" (you may have to view this svg in its original size). Nevertheless I was not able to merge both trees, as the members given in the svg are just identified by their accession numbers. That is I was not able to identify the accession numbers with species or strains given in the rest of the artcle, and I tried a lot.
Please, can an expert help here?
Thanks in advance. --Ernsts (talk) 16:28, 11 September 2021 (UTC)
Updates included in German Article
[edit]Just released a German translation of the article: de:Saccharibacteria. Along with the translation, I did some further investigation, added references, etc.. You may like to check if some of this may be used for an update ot the artice here. As I am not en English native speaker, it might be better if someone of you did the job. BTW the problem with the internal TM7 phylogeny (as mentioned before) are still unresolved, and I did not include the "Simplified phylogenetic tree of named subgroups according to Dinis et al. 2011" in the German translation for now. However, if a solution was available here, I'd be glad to add this to the German article. Regs--Ernsts (talk) 10:18, 13 September 2021 (UTC)
