Shonen Sunday?
[edit]I'm currently working on compiling a list of past Weekly Shonen Sunday series for that page, and I just happened to find this series through the Big Comic page. I wanted to cross check your information about it originally appearing in Sunday, because Sunday's Japanese wiki doesn't mention this series. Any help you could give me on confirming this would be a big help. HarleyAcres (talk) 10:01, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- It was only in Sunday a couple years. It began serialization sometime in 1966 in Sunday, and moved to Big Comic in April 1968. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 01:28, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
- Here's a column which talks about it being in Sunday: http://www.daimokuroku.com/?index=somme&date=20080528 ...and another: http://archive.mag2.com/mail/0000120074/20070115020000000.html ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 01:36, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks Joe, that's a big help! I appreciate it! HarleyAcres (talk) 06:33, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
Episode questions
[edit]@Ozflashman: On the Japanese episode list, 反逆者 is listed as episode 1, and 三匹の狂犬 is listed as episode 2, but we have them in the opposite order here. What source is being used for the episode order and the dates here?
What is the source of the スリーマッドドッグス part of the 三匹の狂犬 title? I know that's the translation of the title, but I can't find it being called that in Japanese. And what is the source of the English title? Are you just translating it, or is there an official English title list somewhere? Thanks! ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 00:21, 26 August 2016 (UTC)
- When I started adding episodes, the first two were already entered and I left them as they were as I didn't feel that I had compelling evidence to change them. See 1 April 2016 . The Japanese Wikipedia entry lists "反逆者" as the first episode which can be variously translated as "rebel, traitor, mutineer", but the Fan Sub episode I viewed titled it as "Rebel" and has the screening date as 10 October 1968. See youtube at 4:53. The episode titled "三匹の狂犬" has a screening date of 3 October 1968. See Youtube at 4:25. I'm happy to go with the Japanese list order and title of ""三匹の狂犬"" if you think that it's likely to be more accurate. The English titles I've used are the one on the episodes, not my own translations - including No.18 which is the last I have.
- Incidentally, most of the Romanji Titles I've done myself using a combination of Google translator and Nihongo and there could be better versions than the ones I've provided. Yours Ozflashman (talk) 13:23, 26 August 2016 (UTC)
