I've edited this artcle partly to correct my own earlier error re the 1947 banknotes. I've also deleted the reference to banknotes denominated in francs from the 1954-57 period. Apologies to whoever added that but I can't find any evidence to substantiate it. If you have such evidience, please put the reference back in along with your source, as I'd love to know about such an issue if it existed.
