Redundant

[edit]

It seems redundant to list both of these:

  • In French, "SVP" is abbreviation of « S'il vous plait » (Please).
  • S'il vous plaît, French for Please (literally, "if it pleases you")

I don't speak French, so I don't know if "plaît" or "plait" is the correct spelling. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.131.66.80 (talk) 08:28, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Soil Vent Pipe

[edit]

"Soil Vent Pipe, a pipe taking all the waste water from a building and provideing a means to release sewer gases outside."

A soil vent pipe provides a means to release sewer gases outside, as its name strongly suggests. It does not carry any waste at all, although it is very common in many installations for one of the soil stacks that do carry waste to be extended upwards to act as the soil vent pipe too. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.111.85.79 (talk) 15:42, 10 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
