some difficulties
[edit]My attention has been called to [1], a site page intended " to create awareness about research projects and their results it is important to publicizes relevant information. Wikipedia is one of the Top 10 information sources on the Internet and hence a good candidate to inform a wider public about research projects and their results." This page was given there as an example, including the infobox used in the article.
To say that i am appalled is putting it mildly. A program whose results are not yet accomplished will very rarely be notable. The project described in this article would be a good illustration of that,. But the article was started in 2006, and may possibly have accomplished something since that date--in which case the published results, and the comments on them by outside people, need to be included. Wikipedia exists to describe things that are already notable, according to WP:N, and to show it by 3rd party sources, according to WP:RS
I am not nominating this for deletion immediately, in the hope that adequate material can be included. In any case, I would suggest removing most of the present text, for, to be frank, it seems like promotional puffery and jargon. Section 3, project advantages,is particularly unsuitable. I would suggest you try to describe the project's purposes briefly, and emphasize the accomplishments, not the intentions. I suggest you list references that have been published in peer-reviewed journals, not your own technical reports. (some conferences are also peer-reviewed,and, depending on the standing, we sometimes consider them suitable--see WP:RS and its discussion page. ) DGG ( talk ) 23:02, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
