Scrapped or Sunk?
[edit]Simple Internet searches indicate this ship was scrapped after the war. However, divers are reporting that a wreck of the ship still exists. See: http://www.bobhenneman.info/Thuringenwreck.htm

- It appears to have been scrapped partially, with the 350 foot section of hull left underwater. I incorporated this info into the text of the article. Hope that helps. Parsecboy (talk) 19:14, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
picture
[edit]I think, this picture is not the battleship SMS Thüringen!! I mean, its the cruiser SMS Blücher, because the ship had only two funnels (similar Westphalen-class) and the side turrets are on the main deck. --URTh 09:34, 27. - That's correct, the photograph is definitely Blücher. This was discovered on Commons a while ago; I thought I had removed it from this article already, but apparently I hadn't. Thanks for pointing it out. Parsecboy (talk) 11:21, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
Discrepancy in date of laying keel
[edit]In the first paragraph, it cites the keel lay date as Nov 1908. In the paragraph under 'Construction' right below it, it cites it as Nov 1909. Don't know which one is accurate but clearly one is off. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.242.0.29 (talk) 19:26, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
- Just a typo - thanks for catching that. Parsecboy (talk) 19:36, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
