- Well-written
- 'The ship met her end when the fleet was scuttled in 1919 to prevent them falling into British hands - A tad vague; can you clarify that she was scuttled as well?
- 'the Von der Tann unique battlecruiser ' - Is 'unique battlecruiuser' an actual title, this seems rather awkwardly worded - if not a title, expand on what made it unique?
- 'along with the Construction Department, argued that increasing the number of guns from 8 to 10 would be preferable' - 'would be preferable instead'?
- 'Ultimately, Tirpitz and the Construction Department won the debate, and Moltke was to be equipped with ten 28 cm (11 in) It was also mandated that armor protection was to be at least as good as on Von der Tann, along with a top speed of at least 24.5 knots (45.4 km/h).' - Full stop after the (11 in) please, and who mandated the armour protection?
- 'At 3:20 on 15 December, Moltke, along with Seydlitz, Von der Tann, Derfflinger, and Blücher, along with the light cruisers Kolberg, Strassburg, Stralsund, and Graudenz, and two squadrons of torpedo boats' - repetition in 'along', and the sentence seems incomplete -what did the ships do? I presume leave port?
- '"because he was afraid eleven British destroyers which could have been eliminated...under the present leadership we will accomplish nothing' - should there be an 'of' between eleven and British?
- Factually Accurate
- 'The ship was named for Field Marshall Helmuth von Moltke, the Chief of Staff of the Prussian Army in the mid 19th century.' - citation please?
- 'As was the case with almost all German capital ships during World War I, her action was somewhat limited' - citation please
- 'Moltke was to have taken part in what would have amounted to the "death ride" of the High Seas Fleet shortly before the end of the First World War' - Can we have a citation and an explanation of what the death ride was to be, or even just a wikilink?
- Broad in its coverage
- Passes, though the section on Dogger Bank could do with more detail on Moltke if possible, it only references it a couple of times, almost in passing.
- Neutral

- File:Batalla_de_Dogger_Bank.jpg - This has no author info or anything - not an expert but that seems neccessary.
A good article - a few changes needed, info for that photo, and then I'll be happy to pass it as a Good Article! Skinny87 (talk) 13:50, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for your comments, Skinny. I think I've addressed the points of the first section, please let me know if there's anything else. I added a citation for the ship's namesake, and expanded the information on the "death ride" (I don't think there's an article about it; maybe I should write one). I'll see what I can find for the "action limited" bit.
- The thing about Dogger Bank is that the ship didn't do a whole lot during the battle; Conway's indicates that it's probable she wasn't fired upon at all for any part of the battle (Tiger's captain messed up and targeted Seydlitz instead of Moltke). The important events from the battle was the near destruction of Seydlitz and the clobbering of Blücher as a result of a garbling of Beatty's order.
- As for the Dogger Bank photo, I had attempted to contact the uploader on Commons a few months ago, but he/she hasn't replied. I don't know how active the editor is, so it might be the case that the image is unusable. I also can't find the image anywhere in any of the books I have, or online.
- Thanks again for your comments/pointers. Parsecboy (talk) 18:04, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- Well, looks like you've done everything I asked, and the limited action bit was only for if you intend to take it above GA :) I'll pass this now; a good read! Skinny87 (talk) 19:25, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for your review, Skinny. I do intend on taking this higher eventually, so that will probably be something to work on in the future. Thanks again. Parsecboy (talk) 19:58, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
