Operation
[edit]The proposed operation of the tunnels needs to be described better. From memory, the plan is the motorway tunnel will be shut and is part of the stormwater tunnel. I believe some info has been given e.g. for how quickly it's expected the tunnel can be shut down. The capacity etc of the tunnel should probably also be added Nil Einne 11:31, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
- i was recently in KL, and saw the tunnel work. something interesting caught my eye. while they were closing the tunnel, i chance upon a couple of cars drive past the cones and into the closed tunnel. i wonder if they will get a watery welcome down there! :P
- it appears that:
- 1. many motorist still doesn't know what the tunnel do.
- 2. there was no infomation on the closure, so heavy traffic continues to move towards the tunnel. and by the time they discover it is close, the people are struck in traffic for hour trying to get to the older roads.

Not intended to handle flash floods?
[edit]Some fellow up their in SMART's management stated that the tunnel is not intended to handle flash floods, but only floods from prolonged rainstorms (see page 2 or 3 of yesterday's Metro section of The Star), after various parts of Kuala Lumpur was flooded on Sunday. This contradicts this article's claim that it does handle flash floods. Which is more reliable of a source? - Two hundred percent 10:11, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- Retracting. The article was misunderstood, but was misleading anyway by its headline. - Two hundred percent 10:19, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:SMART logo.gif
[edit]Image:SMART logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Major storm operation?
[edit]The article isn't clear, but the use of future tense implies that the third mode of operation (closing the motorway to handle major floods) has not yet been used, despite the tunnel being complete for several years now. Is this the case? Or should we be switching to present tense in this section to match the phrasing of the second mode section? JulesH (talk) 09:18, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
