gee where to start, the scr-268 went through numerous vehicle configurations, it seems the signal corps was in a running battle with the quartermaster corps, over trucks and trailers. it wasent till almost the end of the war that the sig corps fanally jurry rigged a lean to shelter over the opperators. the HO-18

Removed comment that needed citation
[edit]I added information about how the SCR-268 was combined with the M-4 director. I also removed a paragraphs that made too long of a digression into the SCR-584 and the Tizard Mission, and I removed a paragraph that made a sweeping statement that the SCR-268 was crude technology.
