Deletion
[edit]Not sure where to object because it is not clear, but why is a straight 23 year old from India proposing deletion of an article on a gay bar in West Hollywood, California USA on the basi of "notability?" How would a straight 23 year old half a world away know about any gay club or bar in California. As noted in the body of the article The Abbey has been in several TV shows and is one of the more notable clubs in the area, especially since its purchase by Sam Nazarian and SBE.Scottca075 (talk) 13:22, 22 September 2013 (UTC)
- @Scottca075: I'm not anti-gay. Perhaps you should to read Wikipedia general notability guideline. I've never been to mars, but I know quite a bit. I guess, you do too. I expect you to be civil. If you've objection over proposed deletion, You need to show significant coverage of the subject of article in the reliable sources that are independent of the subject. Please read Wikipedia polices and guidelines. Hope it helps, if doesn't. Comment below. Need help with finding sources? Try Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL. And Yeah you need to cite your sources in the body of the article. See, referecing for beginners. - @Anupmehra: Civility cuts both ways. Perhaps you can point to (reference) where in my comment I said you were anti-gay. I merely questioned how and why a very young straight person would know anything about a gay bar that is half a world away and you immediately turned defensive and condescending. We can see Mars from California too and there is an acknowledged worldwide notoriety to it.
- Guys, you're both in the wrong, so stop fighting each other. Scottca075, you should make it clear that this place is notable by citing reliable sources, and Anupmehra, you shouldn't be proposing deletion without making a sensible search for sources, which the one that you link is obviously not. Why don't you work together on adding some sources found by slightly more clueful searching, such as the news and book sources found by Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL ? LA Times
[edit]site:latimes.com "Sam Nazarian" - Google Search
Very outdated article.
[edit]SBE has dramatically changed in the past few years and this article should be updated to reflect that. SBE no long owns any hotels, they have sold their stock and ownership to Accor and Ennismore.
SBE has since launched C3, a ghost kitchen brand representing umami burger and other brands.
Currently there are TWO different companies called "SBE", there is one owned by Accor that also goes by ""Ennismore" and another owned by Sam Nazarian. The Sam Nazarian SBE runs the following restaurants:
- Katsuya Brentwood
- Katsuya Hollywood
- Katsuya Manhattan West
- Casa Dani (Manhattan West)
- KUMI (57th Street, Manhattan)
- KUMI (Las Vegas)
- Life Rooftop (57th Street Manhattan)
