[edit]Chairman
[edit]Considered to be one of the greatest chairmen of all time? By whom? TimBentley 22:46, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
Süleyman Seba was the chairman of Beşiktaş (BJK) for 16 years. He has been living a few blocks away from the clubs main building. He dedicated all his life to BJK as a player and chairman. During his presidency the club acquired two training facilities, a basketball stadium (5000 capacity) and he was able to lease the stadium from the goverment for 49 years. He is honoured by even the fans of Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe (rival teams) for he is a real man of honour and intelligence. Despite the fact that the chairmans of all three big clubs being rich and powerfull people, he managed to stay in power for 16 years only with his retirement salary and thus he achieved more than most other chairmans (4 Turkish league championships and many other establishments other than the training facilities like the BJK Collage). he is now 80 years old (as of 2006) and still lives in the same apartment, he doesnt own a car and couldn't find time to marry anyone. He is one of the best example of a man dedicating his life for a sports club in return of nothing.
