This list needs to be updated...

Companies need to be removed, because they have been removed from the list and others need to be added... such as ING Canada IIC.LV-T and Canaccord Capital Inc. CCI-T

Where can i find the most updated list?

Refer to standardandpoors.com, find link labeled Constituent List on the page dealing with this index (which you may find by clicking around to view Canadian indices and so on). Alternatively, visit globeinvestor.com where there is a link concerning the TSX, and click a link labeled Members. 207.189.230.42 (talk) 03:25, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

History of S&P/TSX Composite Index

[edit]

I'm looking to improve the history section of the said article, but I've hit a stumbling block, in that, almost all the sources on the net say that the said index was founded in 1977 as the TSE 300, the Wiki article of the TSE 300 even says so, so does S&P which manages it and TMX (http://apps.tmx.com/en/pdf/TMXHistory.pdf). However, an editor from the past has supplied an image that shows that the index was launched in 1960, and this is backed by the site that generated the chart. My question, 1960 is alluding to what index? If the said index was not launched in 1977, then when was it launched? Was there an index that was based on the market cap of 300 large Canadian companies before 1977? George Al-Shami (talk) 02:39, 15 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
