"Ryukyu Arc" is a scientific term. If Daitō Islands (大東諸島) were included into Ryukyu Arc, then the shape of it cnnot be arc shaped.

- It is synonymous with "Ryukyu Islands". Stop making a content fork.—Ryulong (琉竜) 14:47, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
- I showed that it is a different concept with the source.(Masanori Asami (Masanori Asami (talk) 00:40, 4 October 2012 (UTC))

- It's synonymous in English. We do not need a separate page.—Ryulong (琉竜) 06:37, 4 October 2012 (UTC)
- Ryukyu Arc is not a content fork of Ryukyu Islands nor is not synonymous with "Ryukyu Islands". Ryukyu Arc is the technical term of [Earth science]], Ecology and Archaeology. If you don't have any knowledge of "Ryukyu Arc", please search the word "Ryukyu Arc" by Google, then you will find most of Google search ranking top 20 of "Ryukyu Arc" are the articles in the field of Plate tectonics or Volcanology of Earth Science, and more than half of which are written by Japanese scientists, for not only "Ryukyu Arc" is in Japan but also Japan is the leading nation of the study of Plate tectonics and Volcanology (for there are 3 or 4 tectonic plates in Japan, while there are 2 or 3 in US, and there are many volcanos in Japan. ), and English is the international language of science.(Masanori Asami (talk) 14:33, 6 October 2012 (UTC))
- There is no need for the English Wikipedia to have an entirely separate article on the geologic entity just because it includes two sets of islands that you and only you think should not be included under the "Ryukyu Islands" definition. That is the crux of the argument here.—Ryulong (琉竜) 15:03, 6 October 2012 (UTC)

Map
[edit]This would be good map to add if someone can redraw it along the lines of the one we have in Hellenic arc. Tijfo098 (talk) 15:35, 7 October 2012 (UTC)

Geopolitical names, zones, translations, links, blah
[edit]The dense, unreadable, and meaningless (for geological purposes as done) list of islands, chains, prefectures, links and translations serves no purpose in this article. The chain is divided structurally for the purposes of geology and should contain the information properly sorted that way, if any. Eau(W)oo (talk) 05:02, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
