Deletion of RS-sourced material
[edit]An editor, AHW, has repeatedly deleted RS-sourced material on this page. The article's RS sources say that Kalish is Jewish. The editor has repeatedly deleted the text supported by the RS sources, most recently with the edit summary: "I frankly don't care about your sources and what they say; there are plenty of sources that mention his actual background".
I'm not sure why an editor would not care what the article's RS sources say, as AHW indicates is his position. And as to his statement -- "plenty of sources ... mention his actual background" -- but there is nothing in any of the other sources that contradict that he is Jewish.
To make matters even more curious, AHW insists on stating that his father is Jewish and his mother is Catholic, and Kalish attended Catholic school.
But he also insists on deleting the RS-supported fact that Kalish is Jewish.
This is not the first time that AHW has deleted the fact as to what the religion is of the subject of the article -- if they were Jewish, but insisted on stating the religion of the individuals parents -- if one of them was not Jewish.
This strikes me as inappropriate, and I urge AHW to reflect further and reverse his deletion.--Epeefleche (talk) 05:15, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
