[edit]Hi, intention is to create this new article and amalgamate with some info from Thief_in_law and also Criminal tattoo.
The subject of tattoos in the Vory v Zakone culture of c20th is extensive enough to warrant its own page, so I am building this up using primarily the Russian Criminal Tattoo Encyclopedia series, contributed to by various academics and former prisoners, and any other good sources I can find (though these books seem to be the best English language source at the moment).

Blood borne viruses
[edit]Don't think there's anything here about Blood-borne diseases being spread through tattoos. Do the sources make any mention of HIV or hepatitis B epidemics in prisons? JFW | T@lk 09:37, 16 December 2016 (UTC)
