Russell Findlay (politician) → Russell Findlay – He is now the primary topic as he has recently been promoted to leader of the Scottish Conservatives, a fairly important post. The other person can be dealt with by a hatnote. PatGallacher (talk) 13:53, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
- I would imagine that supporting, agreeing and going along with such a proposition centres on what is - at heart - and on an emotive level a highly subjective, non-objective and opinion founded question of whether one biographed Russell Findlay on the site is MORE important than the other. And which is LESS important. I had a quick look at the 'other' Russell Findlay [R
- RF] (i.e. businessman). I can not, in all good conscience, pass judgement - to quote the proposer - on whether one RF is "fairly [MORE/LESS] important" than the other. Therefore I support maintaining the status quo. However, if RF (politician) and his biography and public prominence grows, superceding RF (businessman), than the question could (indeed should) be re-visited. - Support per nom. Clear primary topic. -- Necrothesp (talk) 11:28, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
- Support The Scottish Leader of the Conservatives, who are currently the second biggest party in both the UK and Scottish Parliaments, is definitely more notable than a pretty non-prominent businessman. FredMcKinley (talk) 16:03, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
