Notability / references
[edit]The references do not demonstrate the notability of the subject of this article. Bongomatic 06:30, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- He has made a substantial impact on his field, is regarded as an important figure and is widely cited in the world media, as demonstrated in the article: "Ruslan Pukhov is a prominent Russian defense analyst," "Pukhov has given many interviews on defense matters for major media sources such as United Press International, RIA Novosti, Nezavisimaya Gazeta and Reuters." Offliner (talk) 11:20, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- Please read WP:N and WP:RS and provide some citations about him, not just passing mentions of his accomplishments. Being described in passing as important is not sufficient evidence of notability. Bongomatic 15:04, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- I have read WP:N and WP:RS, provided citations about him (it is usual to mention the expertise of someone in passing in such articles, where what he says is the main thing. I believe notability is demonstrared. He is also notable for being the head of CAST. Offliner (talk) 17:51, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

- I must agree with Bongomatic. This men in not notable, just like his CAST and his Moscow Defense Brief. Perhaps someone should nominate all these articles for deletion.Biophys (talk) 21:36, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
