Personal opinion

Source from AfD
[edit]The AfD led me to this early self-authored bio at Sikh Heritage.co.uk. It names the English poetry he published before starting out in Punjabi, confirms that he did not finish Annexation (or hadn't at that point) but mentions that parts of it were published online, and gives more info about his schooling. All of these may be useful as search terms, although the local newspaper clipping reproduced adds nothing beyond the one we already cite in the article. Yngvadottir (talk) 07:08, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Yngvadottir: I still do not think this guy is notable. It is just a puff piece and relies on publisher blurb etc. This is very common with Indian authors. - Sitush (talk) 05:12, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
- I disagree and would defend it at AfD, but I think it could go either way there. All the coverage is local/ethnic, including the interview on Desi Radio, which exists but doesn't seem to be preserved anywhere. Yngvadottir (talk) 15:31, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, he is a "local hero" and self-publicist. I think someone pointed out at the last AfD that his stuff is also self-published, claiming that is normal in India? - Sitush (talk) 16:49, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
