Talk:Runtime environment
Suggested Merge. Please don't. This page is very weak, and could be expanded to dicuss differences in a more meaningful way. Thanks! Ste4k 08:57, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
I did a major rewrite, blame me. I'll try and put some references here and other wiki ways of making a nice page out of this. Thanks! Ste4k 09:17, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

Please don't merge. The Runtime environment is a separate concept from runtime and stands alone. If processes were people, runtime would be our lives and runtime environment would be the environment and things we interact with during our lives. Putting Life and environment in the same article wouldn't make any sense. Yes the environment is something we interact with during our life but its a whole other topic, not just a section inside of Life. 128.8.215.134 16:01, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
I have to agree with you completely on the matter and it was the same first reason I suggested "Please don't" up above. But when it comes to finding some resources and expanding what appears to only be a definition, then does this really deem an article of it's own? My opinion since you agree with my first assessment is now neutral. I'll be glad to help write this article with another editor, provide some sources as well. Trying to figure out how to expand it though; i.e. what sort of layout and subtopics, and etc. Seemed to be more difficult then I had first thought. Ste4k 14:36, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
- This shouldn't have redirected to "Runtime", an aritcle which doesn't focus at all on environment. I'm working on an Operating context article that discuss a similar concept to a Runtime environment or a software environment article, if I can get it to pass deletion perhaps it should go there.
