Neil Bookman merge
[edit]"Neil Bookman" is the alias for a real person in Burroughs' book. The article on him is brief and was categorized as a fictional character, but he is a real person. I don't think the Bookman article is ever going to be substantial enough on its own, so I suggest we merge it here. Her Pegship 03:39, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

Who are the Turcottes?
[edit]- In 2005, the Turcotte family of Massachusetts filed suit against Burroughs and his publisher, alleging defamation of character and invasion of privacy, among other things.
The article doesn't indicate who the Turcottes are. If they were identified in the book by pseudonyms, the article should say which characters they correspond to. --Metropolitan90 07:21, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Never mind, I found that they claim to be the basis for the Finch family. --Metropolitan90 07:31, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
NPR story
[edit]An NPR story run on Oct 8 features Margaret Robison's reactions to this book. I don't know when audio will be up, but it would make a more balanced article if her views were presented as well. Qermaq 22:01, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
Poetry Anthology needs to be its own separate page
[edit]The mention at the beginning about the poetry anthology under the same name needs to be a different page (perhaps a stub?) from the book by Augusten Burroughs. They're obviously 2 separate, unrelated works of literature.C4bl3Fl4m3 14:58, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Bestseller list
[edit]Although Augusten's official website says that 'Running with Scissors was on the NY Bestseller list for four consecutive years, I looked at archive Times issues and the book only appears on the list for four weeks: August 18-September 22, 2002. If I am missing something please feel free to point it out because that's a pretty large discrepancy. Copana2002 (talk) 05:18, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
