Need animations
[edit]I think this article need animated illustrations of radial and axial runout. Vladislav Pogorelov (talk) 17:19, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
Wrong definition of axial run-out?
[edit]The current definition describes axial run-out as the degree of parallelism between the rotation axis and object rotated. This seems to be more in line with the description of "wobble" used elsewhere, i.e. having a unit of angle.
Axial run-out would presumably be more sensibly defined as the distance moved by the object along the rotation axis over the course of one rotation, thus having a unit of length. Further, this lets the measure of axial run-out be exactly perpendicular to that of radial run-out.
