The result of the proposal was Move Parsecboy (talk) 02:20, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
RewirpowerSTADION → Ruhrstadion — I'm pretty certain that the common name in English for this ground is still the Ruhrstadion. The sponsored name is only temporary, anyway — Dancarney (talk) 14:21, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

- Support - standard practice on English Wikipedia is to use non-sponsored names where possible. - fchd (talk) 14:27, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
- No, no, no. This is myth is put forward all too often, and it needs putting out of its misery once and for all. No such consensus exists whatsoever (hunt for it - you won't find it); stating so is a very common error and is completely invalid as a move rationale. We use the name that is most common, full stop, that's the policy - read WP:COMMONNAME. See Veltins Arena (AufSchalke, a "possible" alternative, now much less common), Emirates Stadium (noone uses the "possible" alternative Ashburton Grove anymore), Philips Stadion, SAS Arena... Notice that picking the common name works both ways - sometimes the sponsored is most common, sometimes not. We have Veikkausliiga, Tippeligaen, Setanta Sports Cup, Emirates Stadium, FC Red Bull Salzburg but on the other hand it is Baltic League not Triobet Baltic League, Copa Sudamericana not Copa Nissan Sudamericana, CAF Champions League not MTN CAF Champions League, Premier League not Barclays Premier League. Frequency of usage is the single defining factor, nothing else. Knepflerle (talk) 00:17, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- Support per fchd. Besides, a quick Google search for rewirstadion -ruhrstadion turned up only 39,900 hits, compared to the 84,200 hits for ruhrstadion -rewirstadion. – PeeJay 21:04, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
- Support per FCHD and PeeJay. пﮟოьεԻ 57 21:50, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
- Support - but for the right reason (frequency of usage), not for the myth of a non-existent "consensus". Knepflerle (talk) 00:17, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- Support. I would say WP:COMMONNAME applies here, considering the stadium's age and the relative recentness (is that a word?) of the sponsorship deal. Bettia (rawr!) 12:42, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
