Merger proposal
I propose that Fajr decade be merged into Ruhollah Khomeini's return to Iran. I think that the content in the Fajr decade article can easily be explained in the context of Ruhollah Khomeini's return to Iran, and the Ruhollah Khomeini's return to Iran article is of a reasonable size that the merging of Fajr decade will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned. - Oppose. Khomeini's return is but one day/event of Dahe-ye Fajr (=Fajr decade). I have also found some purely celebratory content, which would be out of place in the "return" article. - HyperGaruda (talk) 10:38, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
- Strongly oppose. FreeatlastChitchat deleted main part of Fajr decade article and remained similar part with this article. If you restore the old version, you can see different context with Ruhollah Khomeini's return to Iran article.Saff V. (talk) 06:28, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose, though I can understand why some of the content was removed from Dahe-ye Fajr because it was not about the festival period, but about the original events. However, the annual festival period is clearly something distinct and worthy of its own article. Sionk (talk) 01:59, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose. Bad-faith nomination. The holiday is notable in itself and needs its own expanded article. The Fajr decade article was gutted three weeks ago by the nominator [1], and this merge proposal should not be occurring at the same time as that problem is undergoing discussion and RfC on that article's talk page.
