The island has a quadripod tower lighthouse, which stands on the highest point of the island, Haubjerre hill. It was prefabricated in France and shipped to Ruhnu for assembly in 1877. The structure was designed by Gustave Eiffel. - what are the official sources about it?
Ruhnu Lighthouse at Ruhnu island, Estonia (1875) - was ordered by Russian Government from France, from "Les Forges et Chantiers de la Méditerranée", Havre 1875 (erected at Ruhnu 1877), has labels of this Company at its walls still. Was it designed at all by G. Eiffel? Wasn't this Marseilles company with factories also at Le Havre one of competitors for "Eiffel et Cie"?
